Sometimes, people choose to leave not because of selfish reason, but they just know that things will get worse if they stay. #LYQ

Saying I love you is important, but not enough. Remember, love is a verb, an action word. (via @AceQuotes)

Sometimes there are things that we can't control In life. And we've got to let It go the way they're supposed to...

I hope your love could be as beautiful as the sunrise and sunset. Both beautiful at the start and beautiful at the end...

A pretty woman can capture your eyes. But It takes a pretty personality to capture someone's heart. But If you have both, Well done. - TRW

Mt. Tukduan Banoi
Elevation: No Record (Unexplored)

Sitio Sadlak, Tanay Rizal

September 25-26, 2010

Mt. Tukduang Banoi is part of the Sierra Madre, it is the adjacent mountain of Mt. Irid. We consider these mountains as one the most grandest mountain in this part of the Sierra Madre Ranges. Mt. Irid is located on the boundaries of Tanay, Rizal, General Nakar, Quezon and the province of Bulacan while Mt. Tukduan Banoi is within the geographical area of Tanay, Rizal.

It is also one of the remaining densely forested areas in the Philippines. We believe that these mountains is an Important Biodiversity Area (IBA), and an area of hot spot for conservation.

Fable tells that Mt. Irid is home for the Enkantos or what they call the guardians of the mountain, locals would say that when you climb Mt. Irid you have to be quiet, you have to modulate your voice, you are not allowed to make noise cause when you does the Enkantos would bring rain that would cause to your group not to succeed with your objective.

Mt. Tukduan Banoin in contrast have a different story to tell, local story says that on the top of the mountain there once lived a gaint Eagle that can lift a small cow and bring it to the top of the mountain to feed on it, there is also a deep open pit in the forest which is the home of a giant frog the size of a human infant that roams the forest of Mt. Tukduan.

The Tukduan Banoi-Mt. Irid Exploration Climb is a project of Project 4 Mountaineering Society, the plan is to summit the two mountains simultaneously. There will be two teams the Team Stone Chair which will be headed by Sir Jod of Happy Campers and the Team Pinnacle that will be led by Sir Simpson of Tukad Adventure Club.

The first ascend to Tukduan Banoi

Exploring one of the four peaks of Mt. Tukduan Banoi, the Talangka Peak. We named it after our guide who is a Dumagat tribe member known as Talangka.

Talangka Peak is the second highest peak of Tukduan Banoi with a height of 1230masl. The mountain itself is quite technical for beginners. The first part is an open grassland which is known to the locals as Luntian (Luntian means greenery), the second part is the forest line. Trekking along the forest line is quite easy but when you start to assault the summit you have to do bouldering a 20meter boulders, after that, an 80 degrees steep assault to the summit. From that point we used a rope to achieve our goal ascending to the Talangka Peak and explore the summit.

We, the 18 brave men and women, conquered the Talangka Peak of Mt. Tukduan Banoi at around 12:40pm on the 26th of September 2010.
